Making the Most of the Least!

Hiya everyone!

Ok, so everyone knows that studying abroad is awesome because you get to go to school in a different country. However, everyone also knows that when in Europe you tend to travel a lot because the countries are so close by!

Alright so with that in mind, do you guys recall that I am an undocumented student? After speaking extensively with my lawyer about whether I should travel Europe or not, he unfortunately advised me not to leave the U.K.

So you can only imagine how disappointed I was hearing that I shouldn’t leave the U.K., when I wanted to see Italy, Iceland, Norway and specially Greece. But after a lot of thought I realized that traveling outside of the U.K. was not worth the risk and potential loss.

However I knew I was not gonna give up the opportunity to travel as much as possible. So this past weekend I went to Edinburgh, Scotland!  Shhhh…no one tell London, but I fell in love with Edinburgh. It is the most beautiful town I have ever been in. From Arthur’s Seat to Old Town and The Royal Mile.

The point is, that although I am not able to explore Europe there is more then enough to see in the beautiful United Kingdom. That said, I have planned to visit Belfast, Northern Ireland, Cardiff, Wales, Aberdeen and of course, Edinburgh, Scotland.

Always remember that no matter what the situation is there is always a way to make the best of it.

  1. You’re awesome! Great decision and way to make the best of what you have. It’s an amazing opportunity to even be out of the US and I’m sure you’ll have the opportunity to go back and explore Europe.
