Cars and Chaos

Automobili: Cars

Rome is a very large city, approximately 1,285 km² (496.3 square miles).

With a population of more than 2.5 MILLION people, it’s no wonder that the streets of this city are always bustling and chaotic. Roman traffic and parking rules are nonexistent. Don’t let the mini-sized cars fool you — these drivers are tenacious. Motorists, pedestrians and motorcyclists fight for the road. Driving around the city on a Vespa is not as romantic (or safe) as movies make it seem.

The traffic rules might be disorganized, but I believe many will agree with me when I say it gives the city character. It gives the city life! Mastering the streets of Rome has definitely been an adventure. I find the busy streets of Rome to be whimsical, and I wouldn’t have it any other way!
