Gelato, Gelato, Gelato!

Frigidarium: A cold pool in ancient Roman baths

Ciao!

The topic of this post is long overdue: GELATO.

Gelato is basically the Italian word for ice cream. There is a gelato shop on every corner of every street in Italy. Gelato in Italy is not the same as gelato in America. There are so many different types of gelato in so many interesting flavors, and they all have one thing in common: They are DELICIOUS.

I eat gelato at least three times a week. This may not be the healthiest choice, but I figure this lifestyle choice is allowable while I am living in Italy. I have to take advantage of the amazing gelato while I live here!

My favorite places to get gelato so far are Gelateria La Romana and La Gelateria Frigidarium. They have so many flavors and serve it in so many different ways. You can get your gelato drizzled with chocolate or even get chocolate inside the cone!

Pistachio and praline crumble gelato with eggnog whipped cream. The cone has chocolate inside, too!
